Brief Descriptions

Reflective

Reflective tint is good for heat reduction. It has a sleek look and offers great daytime privacy and glare reduction. It is your low cost option.

Dual Reflective

Dual Reflective tints are reflective on the exterior for heat rejection with low interior reflectance for better nighttime views. They can provide excellent daytime privacy and glare reduction. They are a good choice for most applications.

Neutral

Neutral tints are less reflective with a grey appearance. They work primarily by heat absorption which makes them less efficient at reducing heat compared to Reflective or Dual Reflective tints.

Spectrally Selective

Spectrally Selective tints are light and nearly undetectable. They block heat while allowing a lot of natural light to enter the building. They are good when high visibility and natural light is desired.

Anti-Graffiti Film

Anti-Graffiti can help you avoid the hassle and expense of glass replacement. It is a thick, clear film that protects glass from intentional or accidental damage.

What The Numbers Means

Lower Number = Darker Tint
Darker Tint = More Privacy, Glare and Heat Reduction
5% - Very Dark
10% - Very Dark
15% - Dark
25% - Medium Dark
30% - Medium
35% - Medium Light
40% - Light
50% - Very Light
70% - Nearly Undetectable

There are four categories of sun control window tint and each has several shades. Visible Light Transmission (VLT) is a measure of light that passes through the window/window tint; the lower the number the less light enters the building. A film rated 05 is very dark, a 25-35 is “medium” and 40 VLT or higher are “light” films.

Dark tints provide better heat and glare reduction and daytime privacy. A 15 will block approximately 85% of the visible light, reducing glare by 85%. An 05 blocks about 95% of the visible light reducing glare by 95%.
